EcoBroker – Certification
My goal as an EcoBroker is to be a trusted and reliable resource for your green real estate needs. EcoBroker Certified® training enables me to provide the knowledge you need to make an informed decision whether it is about energy-efficient appliances, sustainable energy options, such as solar panels or overall energy savings.
EcoBrokers - Leaders in Green Real Estate
While the EcoBroker Certified® designation doesn’t make me an energy and environmental expert, my training does enable me to recognize issues and provide you with information about the eco-friendly products and services available and gives you an advantage in finding the green property you want.
Developed in 2002, the EcoBroker® program is the first and largest green real estate program in the world, with memberships reaching across the globe and growing daily. The program’s goal is to create a new breed of realtors. We serve you, the green real estate consumer and consequently, the communities where we live and the environment by fostering an interest in green home features and raising public awareness of the advantages of green properties. To maintain high standards, the Association of Energy and Environmental Real Estate Professionals provides oversight.
To certify as an EcoBroker, a licensed realtor receives comprehensive training in energy, environmental, and marketing education, taught by experts in the green and real estate industries. The program is the only green real estate certification course that requires continuing education to keep eco brokers on top of the latest information in the green real estate industry, which includes:
- Energy and environmental information and tools
- Green home certification programs like Energy Star® Qualified Homes
- Environmentally sensitive design
As a certified EcoBroker, comprehensive training in green features gives me the knowledge and resources to assist you in finding green properties that are affordable, comfortable and contribute to a healthier environment, thus making it a win-win for all. You can rely on my guidance regarding environmental issues such as:
- Mold, radon, asbestos and lead
- Poor indoor air quality and improvement of air quality
- Water quality
- Green building environmental, health and savings
- Energy saving home features
- Sustainable energy options, such as solar power
- Helping you buy and sell certified properties
- Assist in employing verified energy savings and green financing tools to realize larger loans and make transactions easier to close a real estate sale or purchace.
